showcases cellumation’s celluveyor (cv.INDUCT)

cellumation is pleased to announce that DHL has selected its innovative celluveyor technology for display at the DHL Asia Pacific Innovation Center. This integrated solution, combining cellumation‘s intelligent omnidirectional conveyor with an cobot arm, demonstrates the future of high-volume processing and sorting in logistics. It offers visitors a glimpse into how automation and smart technologies are revolutionizing the flow of goods. 

The system, showcased in Singapore at the DHL Asia Pacific Innovation Center, is designed to autonomously induct, scan, and sort small shipments with the help of AI, 3D cameras, and computer vision. The combination of the cobot arm and cellumation’s cv.INDUCT conveyor ensures smooth and efficient sorting processes. The AI-driven system tracks each shipment’s orientation and position, enabling precise coordination between the robotic cobot arm and the conveyor to transport, orient, and induct packages effectively. 

The omnidirectional conveyor developed by cellumation offers a significant leap forward from traditional conveyor systems. While conventional conveyors are restricted to two directions, the cv.INDUCT can move packages in virtually any direction. This flexibility reduces the need for extensive conveyor lines and enables the system to handle multiple tasks—such as transporting, orienting, and sorting shipments—simultaneously. 

This modular system is based on the same hardware in every application: depending on the application, hexagonal robot cells are connected to form a surface. Software controls the function. In this case, it is shown that the celluveyor can always eject objects in the correct orientation or feed them into another material flow. The exhibition at the DHL Asia Pacific Innovation Center shows how cellumation’s solutions, in collaboration with cobot arms, are paving the way for the development of efficient and intelligent logistics systems. 

With successful deployments of cellumation’s technologies in Germany and Chile, the showcase at DHL marks an important step for the company. Visitors to the DHL Asia Pacific Innovation Center can experience firsthand how this innovative technology is transforming the handling and processing of shipments.
